In our lifetimes a bunch of things that we think of as normal and right were unlawful whether that's you know smoking marijuana or being married to someone of the same gender as you. So I'm trying to understand this claim because obviously at the time when there was no same sex marriage in this country people always had the right to advocate for those things to be changed. It's just obvious that the space to choose the time and manner of the disclosure of the facts of your life is very important. The nonconsensual disclosure of those facts leads to atomization and undermines the cause of human liberation.
