The flowering time is the trait that stratifies. So you see that in its native range, where earlier flowering does is a better strategy in the more north climates and later flowering is aBetter strategy in more southern. And so the fact that we're talking about local adaptation tells me that it's kind of a surprising thing to see across its invated range that it's following similar patterns. It probably just depends on the species and the habitat together. And a lot of chance.
