i was lucky enough to be a part of the group who developed this, developed the standard model ology. We didn't know what we were doing. There were really no senior people in the field. So you, you and your colleagues were part of this children's crusade. Andof these ideas, it seemed like you could wake up in a morning and have a new idea and write a paper that afternoon. Whatever happened with cosmic strings, anyway, as anybodis talking abot they've been abandoned as leading to structure,. large scale structure, seeding galaxies and other large scale structures.
