I wonder how you think of Opel in that context. I'm not at all surprised that contraception is very intimately associated with ableism and cisnormativity. Having an abortion can be an act of violence if somebody is forcing you to terminate that pregnancy. And the same vein taking a pill, taking over-the-counter contraceptive could be an acts of liberation.
