Introduction
The Federal Trade Commission is proposing a ban on non-compete clauses. The move would allow workers to take jobs at rival companies or start competing businesses without the threat of being sued by their former employers. John's FTC says that non-competes undermine core economic liberties, keep wages down and are bad for the economy as a whole. We'll examine the arguments for the ban and talk to workers who've had their livelihoods crushed by oppressive covenants not to compete.
