Supreme Court ruled that the government can detain American citizens without authorization from congress. The ruling was a blow to President Obama, who has called for an end to military operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. John Avlon: Conservatives are ready to overturn row right now but don't have the courage to follow through with it. He says they've abdicated their role as custodians of the rule of law by siding with power over checks and balances.
