When I started drag it was 2008, 2009 and I was in New York City. Growing up in the south, like how did the south shape your views on gender roles? And like this drag helped blur gender lines and challenge strict gender norms. It was so easy to find drag queens today. You can't throw a rock without hitting a wig,. You come from Columbus, Georgia all the way up to New York. How much of a culture shift was that? Was it welcome?
