The Second Yahweh in the Hebrew Bible
Yahweh is species unique in the Hebrew Bible, says Dr. Heiser. Israelite religion retained concept of vice-regent, but identified it with Yahweh himself. Because of Yahweh's uniqueness, biblical authors could never believe in Canaanite two deity structure: El and Baal. While Yahweh is invisible, second Yahweh often visible, even human-like in his appearance.
