Rory McElroy is skipping the Wells Fargo. He's one of seven players not playing in a designated event this week. Billy Horstall, Tom Hoege, Russell Henley, Justin Rose, Lucas Herbert and Aaron Wise are also eligible top 50 players who won't be there. The PGA tour rules allow players to miss one designated event.
