"I think this movie and the character of Sam is a great example of how that label, once it gets stuck on you, fucks you up more than probably the things that got you that label," he said. "There are almost being talked about like he's choosing to be emotionally disturbed. And for a diagnosis that should hopefully be giving compassion, it gets treated as almost like a behavioral thing too."
