Aristotle's view of the human being directs you away from social engineering. Human beings have a soul and if we don't pay any attention to that internal life, then we're not going to be fully appreciating what it means to be a human being. I think this idea is finding ground in places not just in medicine and health, but also in things like psychology. That with the right signature of chemicals or the right signatures of inputs and stimuli, we can get you humming like a complicated automobile.
