Dostoevsky can really get you to understand people that are just... You wouldn't normally encounter, you know, murderers. He can paint their sort of motives and their way of life so deeply that you really feel like you could be that person almost. Next time we are reading Spinoza's Tractatus Theological Politicus where we get to see not only a bit of his philosophy but biblical criticism about that.
