Mammon is an aramaic word for riches. It was a syrian god actually named mammon, and it came from the people in babylon. Babylon is a group of people that felt like they did not need god. No servant can serve two masters. For either he will hate the one and love the other or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve god and mammo. If god' saying we should not serve the k mammon isn't just about money; it's way deeper than that.
