The good news for Democrats, at least at this early stage is it does seem like some candidates who would probably be weaker for Republicans are starting to get in. And again, to the extent that Republicans end up nominating weaker candidates in 2024, that could help Democrats in what looks like a pretty bleak map. But that's not happening everywhere.
King Charles III was crowned over the weekend, which led to a lot of polls comparing his popularity to that of other members of the royal family. Long story short, the numbers aren’t great, but in some ways that's beside the point.
