The History of Astrology
astrology flourished in the ancient nerest in the hellenistic world, and that includes also in greece. It was embraced by the romans, particularly upper class romans who massively imported fashionable greek high culture to Rome. Court astrologers acted sometimes as the most important advisers to roman generals or governors,. planning when to go on a military campaign, when to engage a battle. In particular, tiberius was himself an astrologer and would sometimes make his own forecasts.
