Is Divine Simplicity a Problem?

Aquinas says that if God wills to create, then it's impossible for creation not to exist. This line of reasoning is sometimes called a modal collapse argument. It leads us beyond the issue of divine simplicity in itself to ask about what makes sentences like "God wills to create Socrates" true.
