The Negative Dimension of Consciousness
The volume of consciousness, and there was more of me is often left out of the contemplative perspective. Thomas Metzinger says that until we have an idea of what a good state of consciousness is, we're kind of blind. I don't think just having a theory of consciousness on hand would immediately answer that question. There's almost something like bodily and primary about particularly writers and earthy that like, I don't want heaven, like I want more life. I want to live again. And my thinking about consciousness in a deep way is not so interested in sort of transcendental conscious states where you feel one with everything.
