Do You Think the US Authorities Should Step Back From This Tiny Cycle?
The sources of inflation are very different on both sides of the Atlantic. It's a demand driven, as well as supply driven inflation in the case of the US. Its energy prices going up is the underlying cause of inflation in the EU. And so that is driving the relationship between monetary policy in different parts of the world. I hope that they will get it right, both in the US and in Europe.
