The Rules for Christian Households
St. Paul wrote the letter while he was imprisoned in Laodosia, a city on the outskirts of Rome. He gave instructions for Christian households: obey your parents and be subject to your husbands as is fitting in the Lord. Do not slander a servant to his master lest he curse you, and you will be held guilty. Continue steadfastly in prayer, being watchful in it with thanksgiving. And pray for us also that God may open to us a door for the Word to declare the mystery of Christ.
