The game designer works in his medium of goals, rules, abilities. And through this, you design an experience for the player. What the player gets out of it is the experience of playing. A good game is a lot better than a game that you won by a lot because of the experience of it. This shows that we can adopt agencies as people. We can take on goals that are not like instrumental in our life goals. Yes, there's a goal, but the game itself should be fun.
