Mike Pence was a radio talk show host for a long, long time. That is an interesting archetype too, the converted or the elevated journalist. I think it's also an aspect of this in Wag the Dog too, the media manipulation as a tool to power. We tend to focus more probably because of our providence on the reporter who got the story and makes us feel good. But there's obviously a lot of cynicism and especially the 90s movies about this subject.
