The Negativity Bias That Keeps Us From Feeling Positive
The amygdala, two thirds of it, scanning for threats. We are only holding the negative images so we can feel safe. When we start to see some of these traumas that broke our parents' love or broke our grandmother's love for our mother... These patterns of attachment have trickled down for generations. In fact, that's the most replicated study in all of epigenetics. They take baby mice, separate them from their moms and they can see for three generations that the pattern of broken attachment is experienced for three generations.
