A common trait among underachievers is they work based on inspiration or what they feel like doing. I have software that helps me keep track of every idea, every piece of work and every priority I have. The second thing I do is categorize the task based on how they will impact my outcome. For example, if my desired outcome is to make an extra $250,000 per year, I will ask myself: Will this new priority get me closer to this? If the answer is no, then it isn't much of a priority or it doesn't become much of apriority.
