According to general relativity, there wouldn't be a black hole theoretically. But if you did somehow manage to add enough charge to a singularity, then the event horizon would shrink down to zero. You essentially would reveal the singularity to the universe. Does this mean that something weird would actually happen in the universe? Or is there some reason why this is not possible?
