What Is the Importance of Democracy?
The potency of the terms majority and minority would not matter anywhere except in a democracy. In any democracy is this kind of majoritarianism politics inevitable at some point. The constitution was partly shaped by the contingencies of partition. And obviously then, you know, when you have all this talk later on of pseudo secularism and pandering to minorities and all of that, those seem to be legitimate grievances.
