Changing a Name When Marrying a Man

My partner's parents feel e strongly that a wife and children should have the husband's last name. All our liberal friends have stuck with traditional names as well. I feel alone, as if there's really no one else who's advocating for me. Aaron took my name, and i did not ask her to. It wasn't an issue that we discussed deeply, but it was an assumption that both of us consented to. Here you are not alone. Many, many, many women do not change their names when they get married,. But it is still considered unusual in certain circles. Is shocking to me.
