The Importance of Epiphany
Boland has written quite eloquently how as a woman she felt very you know excluded from a very male literary tradition that was concentrated in the city center. She says well this is my territory and this is important and I can write about it, which reminds me of people who are proudly religious but don't have a fancy church to go to and they have an epiphany that no I can make even a humble building into a church. It's not so much the grand you know building with all kinds of ornament in it in order to actually have a church we can have a church where we are.
