Is Subjective Experience Necessary for Consciousness?
i think consciousness very definitely comes in many varieties, many types, maybe many levels. Athe very basic kinds of consciousness may be shared even by simple organisms like maybe the feeling of pain is one cors element of consciousness,. Or it's getting slightly more sophisticated, seeing, seeing light versus dark. Maybe even an insect can have that a but then you get to more complex elements of consciousness, like, say, the consciousness of thinking, of reasoning and so on. i'm hoping to have julia on the show later in the year sometime.
