The Importance of Financial Conditions in the Economy
In the US, there's a very heated debate going on about whether the inflation we had was supply side driven and demand side driven. We still have some of these stimulus effects that are actually supporting certain types of consumption which is lengthening this cycle. At the same time, we have this very ironic situation where central banks are raising interest rates. There's no pressure on the Fed to get dovish from financial conditions. In fact, the obvious is pressure of them to stay hawkish for longer.
