The Life of a Samurai

Stanley focused her efforts on the life of a woman named Tsunino, born in the spring of 1804. Her father was a priest by the name of Emun, who belonged to the Joldoshinshu or True Pierland sect. This distinctly Japanese sect of Buddhism was far less austere than others like Zhen, Nichiran, or Shingon. Among other things, this meant true Pierland priests like Emun could get married and have children and also eat meat - taboo for most other Buddhist sects.
