The Problem With Not Using Others' Work
We try to recruit people that share this viewpoint and have the motivation of providing impact. I can also personally relate to wanting to only use what you've built or built because then you understand it. You don't need to invest cognitive power into understanding what the other people did and maybe they made a mistake. And it's the most annoying thing to be stuck on something and feel like it's someone else's fault. It's part of working collaboratively so you want to work with good people as he said. But you also want to be kind enough or humble enough to share your work and to use others' work.
