The Anthropocene and Its Importance

I assume that student was picking up on where I was talking about the Anthropocene and that the planet will go on without us. And I think that's really important because that's another sort of expression of human exceptionalism. All of this is for us. It was just this big stage that was created for us. So we don't need to care about what was before. That was just like the roadies setting up creation for us. And now we're on the stage and it'll last as long as we need it too. And then when we're gone, it doesn't matter. Take it back down."
