After high school, Nussonbaum had gone on to study art at the prestigious Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. The men were taught how to use paint, color and texture to make objects blend in with their surroundings. While these men were painting tanks, the US Army was pitching an idea to use their skills for much greater dramatic effect.
