How to Develop Leg Speed for Recreational Running

I think the best thing they can do is do strides, making sure they're actually doing them properly. You can do them on the street outside your house on a grass field in a car park. One of the really good things if you can find it, if you have it local to you is a slightly sloping downhill grass bank where you can do that for 80 meters. That's the ideal, in my opinion just to really develop that leg speed.
