Paying attention to the body is something that really gets me there. Oftentimes I have a piece of music that I work on oftentimes on headphones because I enjoy the cocoon type space that I create for myself. And I close my eyes and listen back to what I'm just working on and pay attention to how that feels in my body. Does it agitate me? What's my nervous system response to this, what I'm hearing? And I pay attention to that. That kind of guides me where to go when I might notice some element in the music that distracts me or that just takes me out of just being in a downregulated nervous system response like I want to
