Clock Synchronization

clock synchronization is the process of trying to get all of those clocks that you have across your whole data center and across multiple data centers to be in sync with each other. A relatively current generation server from a well-known vendor, you're talking somewhere around 50 to 100 microseconds per second that they can sort of walk off out of alignment. We see machines that have a frequency correction applied to them of say 50 parts per million,. So that works out roughly a couple seconds per day is like how you would wind up drifting off.
