Ruthe: Can we really rely on these organized systems of violence to get justice for our loved ones that have been killed by the police? I mean, do you have thoughts about about how to negotiate that in movements where there seem to be these conflicting ideas around punitiveness? One way to talk about it is for people to think through, feel, explore and experience. What we want to get out of punishment, as against what we want the world to be like.
