The Effects of Conspiracy Theories on the General Public

Aristotle suggests that in a world that has left theism, you know, ostensibly in favor of secularism, we have replaced gods with powerful human actors. And he calls this the conspiracy theory of society to reduce very complicated societal events to very easily digestible explanations. It's a way to get around engaging with these more complicated issues.
