The Troubles of Brook Farm

With the increase in forasism's popularity, Brook Farm and other utopian communities were starting to be viewed with more and more suspicion by the outside world. Rumors were spreading about sexual promiscuity and depravity. One resident started hosting an outdoor Sunday service each week. This caused a big rift between those who were really excited and welcomed this idea and those who had moved to Brook Farm because of its secular roots.
