Garrett's Disabled Dad

The timeline that Garrett offered seemed to line up with what the witnesses say they discovered when they went into the barn. Could the offender have been told by Lydia or Annie, you know, hey, don't hurt our dad, he's disabled? Maybe he had got information right then and there. But I'm leaning towards somebody who has inside knowledge about this family a little bit.
