The DRE's Military Commander of the Miramar Shelling and Raid

Isidro Borja was the DRE's military commander of the raid. He appeared on Meet the Press a week and a half after the raid. When asked if he thought it was possible to overthrow Castro without direct US intervention, Borja began by saying "We have never asked direct intervention from the United States" The group was opposed to any negotiation with Castro.
