The Durgibals Finn hit a beam in the hangar as it was being taken off its moorings. This put a stop to the trapeze training that had been underway while the Finn had to be repaired. The last quarter of 1932 still yielded eight successful flights for the Akron. When Franklin Delano Roosevelt was sworn in as the 32nd president of the United States on March 4, 1933, the Akron once again left its northeast home of Lake hurst.
