An engineering leader wakes up and is able to get visibility into what happened the last 24 hours, how are we tracking towards the main things that we care about? And a calendar that is populated with almost automatically, or automatically, where they should be spending their time throughout the day. Writing code at this point is probably highly augmented with really more time spent thinking than actually writing the code. It would be the height oft i want to see in a day with a marketing campaign, if i can, you know, pull up a really simple application just by speaking something into the computer.
Eiso and Jason step up to the mic to make their wild guess on how the state of software engineering will evolve, given what we know now.
The tech industry will look a lot different in 20 and 30 years. From autonomous coding to self-driving cars to automatically powered engineering leadership. We might not be ready for that yet, but our kids are gonna love it!
