There is at least one break in the chain that goes from Henry V to Beaufort up to Edward III and then back down again to Richard III. There are only six of them that affect royalty in any way, so statistically speaking the chances are that it doesn't affect royalty. However if it were in one of those six then of course one can ask questions about royal succession. Can one really? I mean could you actually draw a conclusion using this information that the queen is not actually the queen?
