The Disgrace of Optimism in the Labour Party

Keir Starmer is not an instinctive politician, he's just not someone capable of doing that stuff, right? And I think we really feel that absence. Even if he was capable, part of his calculation is that we don't want to kind of overreach and sound too high-flown because people might not like it. But the second thing is, and I think they're aware of this, but I think optimism has sort of been disgraced byBrexit. People weren't buying it to optimism anymore,. They were sold a great dose of it, they're amounted to nothing. You basically debased the currency of radical change by selling essentially a revolution, also a fraud.
