The Case of Susan's Death
Susan Webb King was found dead in her home with cyanide poisoning. Her husband Paul had already suspected she may have been killed by a poisoned bottle of excedrin pills. The painkillers lined up as a feasible murder weapon, and detectives knew from past experiences that capsules could be used to kill. Nine of the 60-pilled bottles were found to contain four times the lethal dose of cyanide. Detectives considered the possibility Paul removed a couple and trashed them to bolster his story later.
