Pc a Is Not a Common Factor Analysis Model
A factor analysis is this big bucket with lots of different methods in it. We often throw principal components analysis in there, but it's not exactly the same thing. If you have a really good friend who is a factor analyst and just want to jerk their chain repeatedly, refer to principal component's analysis as a common factor model. It wasn't until much later that i understood at a deeper level why pc a is not a factor analysis model. And what the implications are of that? Absolutely.
