How Important Is Having a Static Identity?

I would never encourage someone to have a static ino. It's important to have an involving identity as your starting craft it yourself. And then i think as as you are getting more what you want than you go do. I have to play the identity he who m i game the what type of person i am, because that's creating a lot of suffering inme when i don't live up to it. So yet, how important is having static? It's important not to. But its very unlikely that just your parents, plus genetics, plus whatever, random events happen you up till 18 have given you the perfect identity.
