Is There a Part of Humanity That Rejects Subordination?
People want transcendent beings to which they can subordinate themselves. Many of them seek out, these voluntary, authoritarian structures in which they can insert themselvesit. They surrender their agency to this madman, jim jones, or elron hubbard, or whoever. People are kind of impressed by big, tough guys who engage in arbitrary violence.
