There doesn't seem to have been a link between kissing and disease transmission in the ancient sources. Of course, they had a completely different worldview back then. They didn't see contagion as we do. Their medical system was entirely different. It had a lot of demons. But it's an entirely different way of conceptualizing the world which means that we can't expect to find a correlation like this.
